What about Lead Based Paint (LBP)?
Lead-based paint is paint that contains lead, which was commonly used in homes and buildings before it was banned in the United States in 1978. It was known for its durability and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions, but it is extremely hazardous, especially when it deteriorates or when dust is inhaled. Lead exposure can cause serious health problems, particularly in young children, including developmental delays, learning disabilities, and in severe cases, poisoning.

What is Asbestos?
Asbestos is a group of naturally occurring minerals that are made up of very fine fibers. These fibers are heat-resistant, durable, and have insulating properties, which is why asbestos was historically used in a variety of products, including insulation, roofing materials, and even textiles.
There are six different types of asbestos, with chrysotile (white asbestos) being the most common. However, exposure to asbestos can be harmful. When asbestos fibers are inhaled, they can cause serious health problems, including lung cancer, asbestosis (a chronic lung disease), and mesothelioma (a rare cancer of the lining of the lungs or abdomen). Because of these health risks, the use of asbestos has been heavily regulated or banned in many countries.
